“Runners Media CIC delivers community-focused media projects, including awareness videos, youth training, live event coverage, social campaigns, and local storytelling.”
Runners Media CIC is proud to partner with EastHands Charity to deliver a community-focused media project supporting Carbon Reduction and Climate Awareness in Tower Hamlets. Through this initiative, we are producing short, accessible videos, interviews, and social content to educate local residents—especially those from underrepresented backgrounds—on practical steps to reduce their carbon footprint. The project highlights sustainable lifestyle choices, such as energy-saving habits, eco-friendly transport, recycling, and green gardening. By using culturally inclusive storytelling and community languages, the project ensures the message reaches diverse audiences. Our media team is also capturing inspiring local actions, from school-led recycling drives to resident-led gardening projects supported by EastHands. This collaboration not only raises environmental awareness but empowers people to take simple, impactful actions in their daily lives. Runners Media CIC believes in the power of media to drive change—and this project is a strong example of media supporting both people and the planet.
Runners Media CIC is working in partnership with the British Bangla Welfare Trust to deliver a vital media and outreach project addressing the ongoing Cost of Living Crisis. This initiative aims to raise awareness within the UK Bangladeshi community about available support services, benefits, and practical tips to manage rising costs. Through a series of informative videos, community interviews, and social media campaigns in both English and Bangla, we are helping vulnerable families access essential guidance on energy bills, food banks, housing advice, and financial wellbeing. The project also features voices from local residents and volunteers, highlighting real-life challenges and resilience. By making information accessible and culturally relevant, Runners Media CIC ensures that no one is left behind during this economic hardship. This collaboration with British Bangla Welfare Trust is part of our ongoing mission to use community media as a tool for awareness, empowerment, and practical impact.
Runners Media CIC actively promotes art and culture as a vital part of community identity and expression. We support creative initiatives that celebrate diversity, foster intergenerational learning, and preserve cultural heritage. One of our flagship contributions includes delivering Mukto Arts CIC’s ‘Dhamail Fest’, a vibrant celebration of traditional Bangladeshi music and dance, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Through this project, we help document, showcase, and revive important cultural practices, ensuring they are passed down and enjoyed by future generations across the UK.
